Internet computers for public use are located on the all levels of the library. There are machines for adults on the Upper Level, for teens in the Teen Zone on the Main Level, and for children on the Lower Level. All patrons using these computers must have a library card. If you don't have one, you may apply for one free of charge at the Circulation Desk. Temporary cards are issued for guests. There is a limit of one hour at a time. All computers come equipped with 3.5" floppy drives, CD-ROM drives (no burners), USB ports in the front, and headphone jacks in the front. (You supply your own headphones!) All Internet computers have the following software installed: IE 6.0, MS Office 2003 Pro (Word, Powerpoint,Excel, Access, & Publisher), Adobe Reader 8.0, Macromedia Flash & Shockwave, Java, Apple Quicktime, and Windows Media Player 10.

Printing from these workstations is routed to a network laser printer (black & white) located at the Print Retrieval Station and costs $.10 per page. There is a color laser printer on the Upper Level. Color prints cost $.50 per page. Money must be prepaid to patron's library account prior to printing using the APMs (automatic payment machines) on each level.

In addition, there are six e-mail kiosks on the main level on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is a ten-minute time limit on these machines. No printing is available from these stations.

Everyone accessing the Internet from the Library must abide by the
Plymouth District Library Internet Policy and the Plymouth District Library Internet Procedures.
