ATTENTION SENIORS - Medicare Part D -Prescription Plan Open Enrollment is now in effect. If you need help with choosing a plan or wish to change your current plan, sign up for one of the workshops sponsored by the Library in cooperation with CVS Pharmacists. Programs are scheduled for Tuesdays, November 25, December 2, or December 9 at 10:00 am. Please call for registration at 734.453.0750 ext. 4.

painter ART SLIDE SHOW & PRESENTATION -

The Detroit Institute of Art will present MONET TO DALI on Monday, Jan. 12 at the Plymouth Cultural Center from 1:30 - 3:00 pm. Cost is $1.00 at the door. Artists discussed include Monet, Cezanne, Van Gogh, Dali and Matisse. This is in conjunction with the DIA's special exhibit "Monet to Dali, Modern Masters from the Cleveland Museum of Arts."

LOW VISION SUPPORT GROUP – Thursday, December 4, 1pm
This group meets on the first Thursday of every month. Participants will share advice on coping skills and adaptive technologies in a supportive atmosphere. A qualified facilitator will lead the group. Library staff members will be on hand to provide assistance with Library equipment, services and offerings. Homebound Delivery Service Now Available!
The Library, in partnership with the Plymouth Community Council on Aging, will begin offering a new service to residents of Plymouth and Plymouth Twp. Homebound delivery of library books and audiobooks will be available for residents who are physically unable to come to the library due to a permanent or temporary (3 month minimum) illness or disability. To request this service, please fill out our Request Form.

Download Now! Spending a while on vacation and don't want to take along CD-Books or hardcovers -- Download an e-book to your laptop or an audio e-book to your MP3 player and take it along. Remember, you can enlarge the type on your e-books on the computer for ease of use! You never have to bring them back - They expire automatically and you then remove the file from your computer. Plymouth Senior Walking Club - The club meets each Wednesday at 9:00 am at the pavilion on the hill at Township Park. Call the PCCA for more info!

Expand Your Horizons - Join A Library Group!

  • Writing My Life Story: A Senior Writing Group meets the 1st Tuesday of every month from 1:00-2:30 pm and the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 4:00-5:15pm.

  • $$$ and Sense - provides a forum to study and share personal investment information. This group meets on the 1st Wednesday of each month from 1:00-3:00pm.
  • Plymouth Library Garden Group - discusses various aspects of gardening and landscaping. Meetings are at 7:00pm on the 3rd Thursday of each month.
  • Needlework Group - includes knitters, quilters and other kinds of handicrafters. Bring your current project to share with this group on the 4th Monday of each month at 7:00 pm.

  • Book Discussion Groups - Join Brown Bag Books and meet on 4th Wednesday of each month at noon, or come to Contemporary Books that meets at 7:30pm on the 3rd. Wednesday of each month.
